What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Leggings or tracksuit bottoms with a T-shirt or fitted top are ideal. Grip socks are recommended for Reformer Pilates classes.

Is parking available?
Yes. Free parking is available in the shared Egerton Arms car park, right outside the studio. Our separate studio entrance is located on the left-hand side of the building.

Which class is right for me?
If you're completely new to Pilates, our Beginner and Improver classes are a great place to start. Our New Client Foundation Pack gives you 20% off your first four classes while you get to know the studio and find the right level for you. If you already have a good understanding of Pilates and are looking for more of a challenge, our Intermediate and Advanced classes may be more suitable.

HOW LONG ARE THE CLASSES?
All of our Mat and Reformer Pilates classes are one hour long, giving you plenty of time to warm up, work through a varied programme of exercises and finish your session feeling strong and refreshed.

Can classes be adapted for injuries or medical conditions?
Yes. Before your first class, you'll complete an enrolment form so we can understand your medical history and any injuries or health conditions. Our experienced instructors can adapt exercises, offer alternatives and provide personalised guidance to help you exercise safely and confidently.

Should I book a private session first?
Not necessarily. Our Beginner and Improver classes are suitable for those who are new to Pilates, so you don't need to book a private session first. A private session can be a great option if you'd prefer individual attention, are returning after an injury or have specific needs or goals you'd like to work on.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MAT AND REFORMER PILATES?
Mat Pilates uses controlled bodyweight exercises, sometimes with small equipment, to build strength, mobility and control. Reformer Pilates uses a spring-based machine to provide both resistance and support. Both are suitable for beginners and can be adapted to different abilities and goals.

What's the difference between Pilates and Yoga?
Both Pilates and Yoga offer a range of benefits and share some similarities. Pilates typically places a strong emphasis on controlled movement, core strength, posture and body awareness, while many styles of Yoga combine movement and flexibility with breathing and mindfulness. Many people enjoy incorporating both into their routine.

Can I do Pilates if I'm not flexible?
Absolutely. You don't need to be flexible or fit to start Pilates. Our classes are suitable for all ages and abilities, and exercises can be adapted to suit your individual needs as your strength, mobility and confidence improve.

Do I need to be fit to start Pilates?
Not at all. Our classes are suitable for all fitness levels. Whether you're completely new to exercise, returning after an injury or already active, our experienced instructors will adapt exercises to suit your ability and help you progress at your own pace.
